This week we tried to do some face scanning using photos added into “123D Catch”. One has to take several pictures from different angles and add it into the software which in turn adds all the pictures into one 3D model that one can work on. This 3D model would later on be imported to the 3D coating program. In the 3D coating program we try to apply poly surfaces to complete a human face that can be put onto […]

3D Week 7 – Assignment 3 update
Here’s an update on how I’m doing on the third assignment in the 3D1 course. For the third assignment we’re modelling characters based on another students’ character concept. I’m modelling the character Vinda, who you can read about in my post about her over here: “About Vinda”
I should have made an update on how far I’d gotten with my work on this character last week, but as I […]

Update statūs studiōrum
Almost a month A reasonable amount of time has passed after the previous post. Here is some update about what happened during that time.
Swedish communication course:
* compose a scientific article about a topic related to your studies (in Swedish)
I decided not to oversimplify things and composed a text that could really qualify for something that (at least in form) is close to a scientific article. You know one with formulae [sic!], citations in square brackets [ ] and a reference/bibliography list at […]

Developers Diary. Meeting 4. Jetpack Orangutan.
Today (22/10 -14) we had our 4th meeting in order to lay a solid foundation for our pitch, and determine what we wanted to do for the next few weeks. After a rather stagnant weekend with a few members (including me) of our group having left the island to spend time with friends and family, it was time to get back on the horse and plan the next phase of our game concept.
In order to start with the pitch, we […]

Assignment 2 Update (week 6)
A Ciborium
The object I made for Assignment 2 is a Ciborium from the 15th – 16th century. A ciborium is a container for consecrated waffles. The container is hexagonal and each side have different religious pictures on them. The “roof” of the box have two different root textures, one with a cross pattern and one with a circular plate pattern. On top of the roof there is a cross with a crucified Jesus on it.
The light in the booth where […]
