Astrophobia card-game

Astrophobia simulates being stranded aboard a spaceship that has been infested by replicants. The replicants are a dreaded race of space faring larvae that enter the human brain via the ear canal and feeds on the genetic information. This allows them to withdraw and enter their pupation phase where they grow into a perfect replica of the victim. In the early stages the replicants have no knowledge of their true origin and firmly believe themselves to be the person that […]

3D – Finishing the mech

Hello, I’ve been horrible at updating the blog lately so I’ll try to catch up. If you’ve read my previous posts you’ll know that I’ve been working on a mech. The tools I used for this was 3DS MAX for modeling and Photoshop with DDO plugin for texturing. I’ve actually completed it so I’ll show you a little of what I did and how I did it. Here below is the concept art I was following for this model.

Updates

So, we have now started our 5 weeks project where we are to build a functioning digital game, in theory. Our paper prototype was deemed good by our teacher, Marcus. He laughed quite a bit while playing it, and it felt like he thought the idea was good. We also managed to incorporate our keywords, Thurmaturgy and Summer well. Thurmaturgy as in our main character, our magician. Summer as in the design, taking place on a beach, with beach outfit. […]

Mystery project – Post #2

The project is coming along nicely and I’m ironing out how I will implement some features as I go along.
I have two major problem areas where I’m not sure how I should proceed.
The first one being character animations. This one I do have a plan for now after speaking and discussing my problem with a fellow student, Georgios Chatzoglakis.
To describe this first problem I will explain my inventory and equipment system briefly. A character in the game […]
