3D Week 6 – Assignment 3 – Character Description
As mentioned in my last blogpost we’ve been creating character concepts for the 3D1 course which we’ll be modeling. This post will describe the character that was assigned to me. I’m going to work with the character Vinda, created by Rebecka.

Concept Challenge – Lady Lovelace and the mystery at sea
A chance to test out our skills and prepare ourselves for future assignment, the random narrative concept challenge had us pick a narrative randomly and then make a concept pitch about it.
Your main character is a fun-loving 50 year-old woman. The story begins in a boxing club. Someone is haunted by a traumatic experience at sea. It’s a story about prejudice. Your character approaches the situation extremely carefully.

Concept Challenge – Lady Lovelace and the mystery at sea

During the last week I managed to finish the base model of the table for Assignment 2.
During the weekend I began working on the UV mapping, but I did stumble on some trouble however since the model is made up of seperate objects.

Today we had our first ”official” meeting as a team working on our Space Shooter project. It’s me, and five other people. The project is to design a space shooter around two words that were randomly chosen for us. The two words we got were Dia de los Muertos and snacks. The definition of space shooter is very loose here, basically it’s a 2D game without gravity and with some type of projectiles.

This week I’ve been provided with the character concept for Assignment 3 from a client. Here’s the concept sheet.
The instructions I received involved a fairly detailed ghoul-like creature. A horrid construct created by dark forces to do their bidding. While terrifying, my client wanted another side of the character to be reflected as well. It would be as if this creature wasn’t completely mindless, but had in fact started to regain some semblance of thought and identity. It would […]
