3D I – Textured Crate

This week we were supposed to take one of the themed crates we created a couple of weeks ago and apply diffuse maps on it.
When I created the model I was going for the Contemporary Urban theme, so after a bit of pondering I decided on making something along the lines of a fruit- or farmers crate, focusing more on the basic function of the crate rather than something lavish.

The crate with an applied UV-Checker.

As for the […]

Portobello Market

This week my group played the game Portobello Market. The goal of the game is to achieve and maintain the highest score when the game ends.
In order to get score you get to place down market stands along the roads that goes between the eleven squares. Next to the road where you place down your markets there are numbers indicated how much score you will receive when the road has been completed.

Just having the road filled with market stands alone […]

3D I – Object for Assignment II

When visiting the museum the object that I decided to go with was a not entirely complete baptismal font from the 12th century. It was crafted by stonemasons working in what was called Byzantios craft, which was a particular style that the local craftsmen used (quite evidently a reference to the Byzanthine Empire, which appears to have been a main influence even though the style originated in northern Europe), and appears to have been a part of Linde church.

Wall jumping!

Today I continued on Project SlashR. I decided to work on the player and his movement. I deleted the code for the movement I did last time because it felt a little bit wonky. This time I chose to handle all movement of the player with forces. When I move the joystick left and right I apply a force in that direction and when I’m not using the joystick I apply force in the opposite direction to stop the player.
Using only forces like in real life I […]
