My group chose to play and analyze Game of Thrones: The board Game. It is a resource based strategy game for three to six players. You play as one of the six available houses and the goal is to conquer seven castles or to have conquered the most amounts of castles after ten rounds. You do this by managing resources, moving your units to new zones or attacking your enemy player’s zones. The game is about risk and reward since […]

Sci-fi crate
When creating this crate I drew reference from the visual style of movies like Oblivion and the design of the cubes in the game, Portal. The references are mostly based on a general notion of these styles, I did not use any direct image reference.
The most important element in my view for this kind of sci-fi is clean and symmetrical shapes, which give a sterile impression. The atmosphere I am going for with that is that […]

The Lectures
So now I’m two weeks and two days into this course and I must say, it’s really hectic and a lot to process. These takes approximately 2-4 hours until the day’s done or we go through a another lecture (during thursdays and fridays). Most of these have group assignments where we students have the chance to get to know each other and learn to cooperate. And then there are the ones where we just sit on are arses and try […]

The style usually has very simplified shapes and objects with happy colour schemes and often falls into the visual style Simplified Realistic and Stylized Abstract.
