I don’t know how many blogs I’ve started just to take them down again, but this one is going to stay up for atleast quite some time. The reason why is simply because it’s part of an self-reflection assignment for school. So here you’ll get to see what the hell I’m doing for school, which will be mostly gamedev stuff.

3DIII character concept
Hello again! We have started a new 3D course, in which we will model a slightly more complicated character and then animate them. We’re going this in groups, and I’m with Emma and Kristofer. This is the character we have created together:
Her name is Saraswati and she’s an female alien and the leader of her tribe. She’s very old and is currently acting as a mentor and tutor for the new leader, which will be the player character.

Nihteana High Poly Armour
Last week I finished the high poly model of Nihteana, the first thing I did was to complete the shoulder pads. These skulls were also used to hang from her belt, but without the decorations.
I had a basic skull/shoulder pad that I made in 3ds Max, from that I dug out the shapes more and sharpened the details. Then I added the decorations by drawing the on by hand. I would have used a pattern to do this […]

This week has seen several revisions to the game document once more as the project prototype is fleshed out to meet demands for testing. These will be the main focus of this week’s post, beyond a quick review of the work done last week and examination of how Scrum has worked for our team.

Since we finally got our release out I have been able to get back to working on Nihteana. There were a few things that needed fixing but most of the work was to create the missing pieces, such as armour and belt.
