Swedish Game Awards 2014
The winners of the Swedish Game Awards 2014 has been announced; Defunct and Flash & Crash joins the proud lineup of awarded student projects from Campus Gotland GAME!
1st year project Flash & Crash won the audience hearts and received the Gamer’s Choice award, with the motivation:

Hela Gotland: De prisades för dataspel
Två utmärkelser i Swedish Game Awards, som avgjordes på Nalen i Stockholm sent på onsdagskvällen, gick till studenter på Campus Gotland.
Spelet Defunct vann den förnämsta klassen Game of the year och Flash & Crash förärades utmärkelsen Gamers choice.

Summer Programming 2014 – Dev. Post 2
I might be a little bit late but this is still within the technical premiters of “today”. Today’s work has mainly been about organizing the game scene, it is almost done with just a few small adjustments to make before I can start building for real (though, I’ve already started making the player class).
In other news, I’ve rescheduled for the upcoming trip to London which I probably should have been more prepared for. This does make the shcedule a little […]

Since alot of students (me included) didn’t do so well on the Game Programming I and II courses the teacher decided to hold an extra course that would involve us making a game of our own. I’m going to try to update this on a regular basis, but seeing as I will be traveling to the counrtyside and England for some time […]

The days are closing in for the Swedish game awards (SGA) event that will be held on the 17th of June. We were nominated for Best Execution in Design and we got the chance to present our game at the event.
We made a few changes to the level after watching people play the game at the GGC, the possibility to fall back into the previous challenge should now have been fixed, and the title screen would hopefully be more clear to […]

Summer project, 2dark – Post 1
I’ve started a summer game project and I’m really exited about it! I will be using Unity (free license), C# and I will start off doing the graphics as well.
The game is targeted towards players who like hard games, for example Dark Souls. It will be a 2d hack n’ slash RPG and during the summer I will make a alpha version of the first level of the game, a demo level.

Better late than never.
Week 7 was a hard working week. Everything head to be done that was going to be in the game and we were going to have our beta testing. Much of the work I did was to create props for the indoor and outdoor environment. I started by making a duzin different kinds of bushes that was needed for the level. After a taking a week off , development for Agency has begun once again. Play testing sections are now taking place and things are looking good. Currently looking to get some new people into the team as well.
This is only a shot update, however I am exacted to tell that… “Contacts and Jobs” are coming soon.
