Development with Scrum
What is Scrum?
Scrum is an agile framework used to manage workloads with an emphasis on software development. The framework use so called sprints under which the team members will work with, and finish, their respective assigned tasks.

To begin with, I find that your post is very straight forward, and there isn’t really much I’m able to comment on. I enjoyed the fact that you have bothered to explain the basics of Scrum, as proper explanations are something I have definitely missed in my own posts. Also, I can very well understand the confusion regarding using a new framework, as we’ve been thrown into it without having a course dedicated to it, or even at least a […]

You are very optimistic about the project as a whole, what you have learnt, and what you have overcome. I think it is really good to have such attitude towards other things, but not writing a PM. I cannot see your actual thoughts in the PM. Everything is very general and cheerful, even when you mentioned that your one of the programmers were leaving. I do not want […]

Hi Maya! Your post gives an overview on the bad and good things that you as a designer went through with your group. I, as a designer myself, can see the resemble in some problems that you had, like the problem with the user stories and the unsureness with our roles as designer. I’m happy to hear that everything settled down in the end and you had a working game, even thought it was not fully what you expected. A […]

Hi Carl!
I really enjoyed reading your post and I think that it’s well written with structure and all. As a fellow designer I feel like I can relate to a lot of the things that you said.
It was interesting to hear about your reasoning and sources for inspiration for the level design. As you mentioned we didn’t get that many pointers to keep in mind prior to this project.
I would have liked to hear a bit more about what made […]

Week 6 – Carl Hvarfvenius Blomgren
Hi Carl!
I’m happy to hear that you didn’t have any major issues with the group. It is highly valuable to have good communication amongst team members, since that can really have a positive effect on the group when it comes to efficiency. It seems like you enjoyed working together with your group, and that is exceptionally important.
It sounds like you have learned a great deal throughout this course. It is interesting to read about […]

Marcus,
I appreciate your positive outlook on this entire project and your respect for your team members. I know that many groups had problems working together and some are rather bitter about it. While that is not necessarily unjustified, I like that you can take this as a learning experience, which it very much was. I can imagine this project was definitely rough for programmers new to Unity as there is so much to learn about it. I know nothing about […]

Hi August! Great post!
I really liked your setting when I tested your game. It is very refreshing to see something that isn’t Japanese folklore, like many of the others did for their Umibozu games (myself included).
It’s very sad to hear that you had so much trouble with bugs in your game, especially game breaking ones. Collision can be tricky to program and is often the source of a lot of frustration.
I didn’t complete your game (I died about half way), […]

Greetings for the # time today.
Your blogpost is very easy to grasp and provides a lot of general information. My issue with the whole post is that it’s a bit too general with it information.
I liked that you told us about how you did perform the playtest and what you thought of to make sure it wasn’t tampered with, it would have been nice to hear about what questions you asked during the playtest.
That is the […]

Good afternoon Roberto. This seems like a good reflection on the development of the game.
The way that it’s set up with a quick overview of the project and what it contained is good and provides context to the rest of the blog post, and also serves as a good reminder. The good and bad parts are well structured and it feels like you’ve gained something from it.
There’s not a lot of things that’s wrong with your […]

Very interesting post! I like how it is turned around your thoughts and feelings concerning how you experienced this course. It gives the reader your very personal point of view on that matter and it is always interesting to compare how different people approached the production of their first game (for the most part!).
I feel like you have really well answered the question for this blog post: “what’s the end result and what have you learned?”, because of […]

Hello Anton!
Thank you for a great read!
Your post is very well structured, your use of headings and subheadings make it very easy to follow your train of thought.
You have clearly described both what you have done throughout the project as well as why you have done it.
Having read through it all several times I am left wondering if it was a conscious decision not to work in the same physical workplace or if it just became a habit, also, did […]
