The NGC – being the central meeting point for north European game development – is a much larger event than ours and a fantastic opportunity to meet the entire Nordic games community, make new connections, do business, and learn […]

The End

The game development process is done and we’ve finished the game. The end result was according to plans. As we progressed with development quite a flaws in the design. Our group had some communication problems and we never seemed to be able to be flexible enough to do important changes to the design.

The development process went quite well and we had no trouble reaching our deadlines in time. Many team members wanted to stick the concept document which I found […]

I think that the greatest strength of the text is how immersive it is. He explains his methods and though process in such a detailed and engaging manner that I forgot that I was reading a blog. It is very interesting to get such a clear view of how another graphic student approaches his tasks, and I found it all to be very relatable. However, I think the text would be a lot […]

Paths

Through many landscapes of this world
you slowly walk towards a fork.
Another choice, another split,
and still, you aren’t allowed to quit.
You cry out loud and then move on,
fog hiding paths for your return.
And as the echo settles down
on dusty road, in muddy ground,
a thought drifts in a misty cloud:
“That was unnecessary loud…”

Postmortem

We did eventually manage to finish our project and present it to our fellow students on march the 15th, as planned. The game was very difficult, as it generally required several attempts to complete. However, it was not without some sense of joy that we discovered that many of the people that played our game actually kept retrying, eager to reach the end.

Unfortunately, some of the reasons behind the high difficulty was not due to our design. For instance, players […]
