3D Class- Blog Report Assignment 2 (part 1)
I’m still trying to catch up with the blog posts for the 3D course and I’m on the posts for the 3rd week. I will try and finish the other posts as soon as possible.

Textures
The light is a bit strong. I haven’t figure out how to turn it down in yet…
I finally finished the texture for my post apocalyptic crate! I pretty much have not changed my original design at all, since my first sketch. I did remove the fallout shelter symbol on the box, since it did not really make any sense and was just a cheap way of saying “hey, this is post apocalyptic and stuff”. I kept going with the beaten-up […]

3D Computer Graphics: Theory and Application I, Post 4
This is my fourth post in relation to course 5SD045, within it are the results of the courses fourth week’s practical assignments, detailed for our benefit during lectures held on 2014-09-24 and 2014-09-25.
The first assignment this post covers is that which aforementioned lectures were primarily focused on; to apply UV projections to a game-ready 3d asset – and to then use those UV projections to apply a diffuse map to the asset. In less obfuscated terms; to unwrap and texture […]

3D Class – Week 2
This is my post for the 2nd week of 3D class, featuring the three crates I did in class. I had planned to write this some weeks ago, but it has been very stressful with surprise assignments and other school work, so sadly these 3D blogposts had to wait.
Anyway, here are the descriptions of the themes and the crates that I made based on those themes:
Cartoony:

3D Computer Graphics – Blog Post Week 03 – Part 2
This week we were asked to chose a model from a museum in Visby that we were then asked to replicate in 3D using a specific theme as a reference. After a brief tour of the museum and some general background on the items that were on display there we were asked to take photos for later reference, we were also asked to get some information about the object that we ultimately chose. Week 39: Texturing and UDK
This week we’ve been working on texturing models and the procedures that prepares the model for it, as well as he importance of colour and tone. A time consuming process for the uninitiated, but I managed to pull through. While tricky to learn, it’s a process that’s usually easily mastered. Relatively.
I picked up my Urban-styled crate for various reasons. Firstly because I felt that it would provide an opportunity to see realistic, detailed surfaces applied on a 3-dimensional object while […]

Game ON!
Hi again people!
Since my last post we have been doing much; but especially two things. We have been doing reverse engineering and we have created a game through a workshop we got from our temporary lecturer: Ernest Adams.
Reverse engineering: This means that we are supposed to analyze the games’ systems and break it apart to find the ground-pieces. We practice to break apart a functioning system.
Workshop: In this workshop we got a dream and we were supposed to build a […]
