Game Production: Feature 1
This semester we are creating games based on the concepts created last year. Choosing between the concepts of the other groups, we decided on one called Green Warden, a tower-defense game set in a forest.
The first asset I started working on was the players character. This character is a spirit of the forest who is trying to save the ”Life Tree” (the heart of the forest and her home) from human loggers and foresters. She does this both by attacking […]

Last Signal – Player Movement
One of the gameplay elements that I have worked on for The Last Signal is the players movement.
The player moves around the game’s map by engaging the characters thrusters by pressing the A- and D-keys. The A-key engages the left thruster and the D-key engages the right one. This means that the player will turn right when pressing the A-key and vice versa. If both keys are pressed down the character will start accelerating in the direction they are […]

The game needed a protagonist that could match the protagonist of the game concept that our group chose. In the concept, the protagonist was a dragon and we liked the idea of a playable dragon for our game so […]

Ambient Pressure: the Diver
Our game is about a diver who is on a mission to find out what is going on with the underwater life in a specific place; there has been sightings of mutated fish. The goal is to dive down to this sunken ship and collect as much samples as needed to test what is really going on down there. There will also be angry mutated fish, which you can not kill easily (not by yourself, at least); but tricking them is easily […]

Winter and early spring in Visby
I take a couple of walks now and then here in Visby, as long as the weather is alright.
Here are some pictures taken on January 24, showing the snow-covered walls and buildings.
Here is a photo-collection taken during February 8, showing Visby in all its splendor.
