First post – Space shooter project
I have spent this week with a generally unsuccessful attempt to do the majority of all SFX and ambient sound to our game. Majority of my time has been used to filter trough all Free sound effects available on the internet. The real struggle there is to find a viable sound with a decent quality amongst the unreasonable amounts of random homemade synthetic ”realistic” sound effects or silly fart noises. The most memorable sound effect I encountered was ”girl Pissing in a bowl”.

I och med att deadlinen till design dokumentet började närma sig tog jag på mig uppgiften om att göra en framsida till dokumentet.
Jag började uppgiften med att göra några thumbnails, där jag snabbt skissade upp några idéer på hur det kunde se ut. One thing i kept in mind from the very start was to make sure the colors didn’t take up too much attention and that the line art wasn’t too sharp since i want the focus to be aimed at the character, the enemies and other things related to the actual gameplay. As you may have noticed by the lack of content lately I have been pretty occupied. We are currently doing our 3D3 classes and time is not something we have a lot of, especially after being sick. Denna bild är en av många bilder som tillsammans ska bilda spelbakgrunden. Eftersom spelet handlar om två personer som smugglar potatisar via flygplan valde jag att göra bakgrunden som en flygbild. Paletten är inspirerad av flygbilder från södra USA. Jag tyckte detta var passande eftersom spelet utspelar sig i sydstaterna.
Detta är dock bara tidigt koncept och är därför inte jätte detaljerat och saknar en hel del textur. Vad det ska föreställa är åkrar av olika slag, gräs och vägar. […]
