Last week was the second week of Big game Project, I thought I would get more work done this week, but time sure flies.
During last week I mainly worked on the animations but also managed to create two props.
The props I created was two bushes, I created them by using the same method I used for the tree crowns, I didn’t come across any problems so creating them went smoothly.

Big Game Project – Week 2
Yesterday I felt like I had stayed up completely too long and screwed over my sleep schedule again, it was 9 pm. This week has been so crazy that when it’s finally weekend I have too much time.
We had a deadline this week to have our first playable prototype ready by Friday. This ended up with us working until 2 AM the day before, but we got a lot of stuff done.

Big Game Project – Week 2
Yesterday I felt like I had stayed up completely too long and screwed over my sleep schedule again, it was 9 pm. This week has been so crazy that when it’s finally weekend I have too much time.

Another week has passed and it feels as though I have been everywhere and nowhere. I have done changes in the design and written them down so that the team can see what these different things is supposed to do. Big Game Project: Week 1
I’m working together with my team “Parhelion“ to create a vertical slice of a game in ten weeks for our “Big Game Project” course . The game we are going to work on is Temple of light. Temple of light is a first person puzzle game where the player has to arrange mirrors to guide the light to reach a target, while also looking out for environmental hazards like traps, moving platforms and bottomless pits. Network is both fun and frustrating. This week I continued working with the networking code, the problem however is that it is going slow. You need go about coding in a bit different way than you do when you code otherwise. Because when you code for singleplayer you don’t have to take into consideration what happens to the object when other people see it. In a network however you need to send the location of your player to the others, […]

First week is done!
The first week has gone by quickly, and we are ahead of schedule 🙂
I started out the week by creating a character that was moveable by using an xbox controller, unity had scripts for moving the character, but unfortunately they were written in java (therefor non-compatible with c# scripts which we are using) and they did not support did xbox controller, so I had to re-do them from scratch.

This week we have been continuing to work on the levels for the alpha of the game. We have a total of 4 different levels not counting the treasure room, central chamber or the outside area in which you start the game in.
