Another Luger Update
Our new design and 3D courses have started now, which meant that I couldn’t spend too much time on my mad mod plan. I have also joined forces with Oscar Mohlin and entered a contest organized by Polycount.com and Allegorithmic where artist are tasked with creating a “Throne Room” and a matching throne using PBR and Substance Designer and Painter. Even more 3D
It has been a long time since I have been posting anything at all, it has been a hectic ride! I have been trying to post stuff here but haven’t had the time, but I have been posting “notebook drawings” on instagram.
There are two assignments I have completed, one is about photogrammetry and the other one was the final assignment for 3D2. So lets do this!

So it’s been a while since my last post! school has been insane lately with rounding up the last big assignments for the previous two courses. this semester I studies motion capture for games and second level 3D modelling. Both courses have been extremely time consuming and also intersected with the holiday leave, which proved a wee bit hectic in the end. Game Programming III – Dev. Post 5
I am absolutely terrible when it comes to updating this thing… the main reason is because I’ve just never felt like I made progress significant enough to warrant a blog post and so, I simply decided to wait “one more week” until I post something. But even so, the due date for the project is Sunday, I haven’t written the report, I’m not done with the web server and we just got drawing to work in the game. So, […]

It’s actually fine
Good news. We have a game after all.
We finally managed to get help on drawing our 3d models as well as our 2d models. With this done we were able to create working HUD and draw 3d objects on the screen. Tomorrow we will use this to create actual 3d models to assign to the existing game objects and make sure the game logic works properly and we’ll be all done.

Starting on My First Mod Pack – A Quick Post
Ok, so I have had plans for starting my modding “career” with GTA V when it launches later this January and I have already started to do some minor research on what I want to do. Well, I guess I’ll have to wait a bit longer since the game got pushed back to March 24 (instead of January 27).
I would have wanted to get the game before starting to design the models and what not, to get an understanding of […]

Today we worked together as the entire group for the first time in several weeks. It felt good, too bad the time for the project is basically out and we still couldn’t solve the drawing issues.
Before lunch I pretty much finished as much of the project report i could write before having finished the project. In the afternoon when the rest of the group arrived we all started working on our individual parts of rendering, I worked on drawing out […]

I have been doing no programming worth mentioning since the last blog post as there isn’t that much to be done until we actually have something on the screen.
Instead i have been writing on my report during the days, it started slow but today i got started properly and wrote a couple of thousand words, mostly about the code i made. I hope it won’t be any mayor changes to it before the hand in so that any rewriting in […]

Game programming – the ninth week, work on the third assignment
This week I continued my work on the particle effects. We have three distinct effects in our game now: explosions, smoke and bubbles.
Next week will be focused on wrapping up the game project as well as presenting it.

This weeks production on the helium engine
Working with the states gave me a better understanding on something I’ve worked with for some time. I’ve been looking at each feature we’re putting in such as 3rd person camera, a cube, a goal, a button(GUI), a HUD and been thinking how each class should be structured.
Its pretty simple if you think about it. You have a function that constructs the feature, another that update it if it needs to and one that draws it.
