Finally something newsworthy.
I has come to my attention by a reliable source that Starbreeze, a Uppsala based studio are creating a sequel to the controversial game Wolfenstein.
Question: Why hasn’t Starbreeze created an IP by themselves?
Trivial Note:Starbreeze has taken IP’s from three different mediums so far, movie, comic and the game industry.

Speech and powerpoint mostly done now, any eventual final polish will happen today but at least our spokesman have something to practice on now. Will need to write down instructions for the paper prototype.

After finishing up the prototype and getting some more feedback I’ve sat down to help write the pitch as well as the powerpoint presentation that will be used in conjecture with it. I believe we have covered all the neccessary things that can be said in a 5 minute timeframe, we now need to polish it and time it to perfection.

Boring Warrior turns into the Last Spark
It’s been a long time since I wrote a new post in this blog. The reason being that we have been quite busy with our major game assignment and Communication classes.
The communication course has now concluded (yey!) so now we can focus completely on our game design and analysis course!
Since my last post we have named the game to “Last Spark” and basically finished designing the game. We are in the progress of finishing our Concept Document, One-Page Design […]

It’s been a long time since I wrote a new post in this blog. The reason being that we have been quite busy with our major game assignment and Communication classes.

Since I last wrote here I was right in the middle of creating some of the main enemies and characters of our game. We had a meeting Wednesday the 23rd where we started testing with our paper prototype and going through some of our more fundamental systems. I was chosen from my group to go up in front of the rest of the class and show my PowerPoint-presentation. It made me really nervous and I felt my mind go blank and I did not know what to say. I had made my presentation so that it would speak for itself as I did not want to break the mood created by the music and pictures by spekaing.It went rather well I feel, thinking about how I felt […]

The assignment is to design and pitch a space shoot ’em up game inspired by two randomly selected words. The game is in it’s last phase.Everyone in the group is leaving for GAMEX, except me, and i actually saw this as a bad thing. But today when I was working on the game, I kind of felt that it was the first day of work with pure design. Or maybe it is just the part I like the most.During previous meetings we have been concepting about things that can happen.

Been working on the paper prototype with one of my group mates.
We seem to have gotten the core experience down on it. Now we need to test the prototype to make it stronger.
Hopefully we can do enough of that tomorrow and move on to finish up our pitch for a feedback meeting on Friday this week.
