Yesterday was the “big day” for this course. It was a tight fit but we made it work. The whole party was a successes, everyone seemed to have a good time and enjoy playing the different games that was there. This past week we had finished the game and we had presented it to our teacher Adam Mayes. he did like how the game was and we didn’t really notice anything ourselves that needed improvement. We continued then with upgrading the games visuals, I myself did a lot of that work during when the others went to Gamex. I took upon myself the task of creating the board and almost all the tiles and the pieces. I worked in Photoshop […]

Week 44-45 Kristoffer Johansson
So for week 44 we have been testing the game with our teacher and with another group. We have also written the basics of the game design document. In the beginning of week 45 we have had the final presentation of our game where every group played each other’s games. Finally today on the 6th of November we have gathered to write the weekly reports as well as the group’s post-mortem.

Finishing the board game
We ordered some new cogwheels for our board game which we received last week. These cogwheels were made out of plastic and worked great with our design.
Once we had tried the game with these new cogs, I took the responsibility to fix the cards and rotation arrows that we should paste to the cogwheels. I finished them on monday night and we were able to put the whole game together at Thuseday morning.

At the beginning of the week we received feedback on the game from one of our teachers. The feedback we got was overall very positive. The only things that was suggested that we could change to improve the game was the cheese tile system (where you flip tiles at the far end of the board to find the cheese). And that we probably should add a feature that motivated the player to hunt for the cheese during the first half […]
