So, I nearly forgot to update this blog this week. Unfortunatly, it seems like I will keep having difficulties with it.
This week, I have been writing the raport, and been focusing entirely at it. As such, I have very little to add this week that I can actually remember at this very point.

Optimizing Crates
Hello in this blog post I will be talking about optimizing crates which my class mates had modeled in class. This week we were put into groups in which we tried to optimize each other’s crates that we had been working on in class. Using a feature in 3Dx Max called xView you can locate a lot of problems which occur when modeling in 3D. The problems which I focused on mainly were Overlapping faces, Overlapping vertices, and Open faces. […]

Assignment 3 – Character Modeling – Finishing the Model
Class Recap
I was unfortunately not able to attend this week’s seminar when the class went through 3D scanning. But I did some of the work later and I also read a recommended article on the game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter whilst I previously played some of the game. I was unfortunately not able to attend this week’s seminar when the class went through 3D scanning. Unfortunately, this post will lack pictures since my computer has been blue screening quite heavily and I cannot retrieve my old sketches. Once I get the computer to behave, I will update the post with the sketches!

Gaming Project 2: Magic Writer
On October 7 2014, the freshman class was divided into 16 groups, consisting of 5-8 students. Alexander got into Team 13, consisting of 4 other students. The team previously had one additional member, but he quited very early because of personal matters. Team 13 consists of the following members:

Assignment 3 – Character Modeling – A New Challenge!
The previous week, we worked on our character backgrounds to create the character that we wanted to make for this assignment. But once we were done with those character sheets, we were asked to swap concepts with another student in the class! I was from here on just the “employer” of the student who was going to create Palo’h (Marcus Svensson) and I was now “employed” by Oscar Mohlin to create his character Etha. (Seen below)
