Board Game Analysis: Super Dungeon Explore

And now, once again, the deadline informs me it is time to write a board game analysis review thingy. The board game in question this time is Super Dungeon Explore!

Simply the best:
Starting with the best is starting to be a habit of mine, and I see no reason to break that habit anytime soon.
At any rate, the best of Super Dungeon Explore is the build up, and the drama that is brought forth by said build up. For that […]

Board Game Analysis: Stratego

Stratego is two player competitive board game. The goal of Stratego is to capture the other player’s flag or eliminate the other player’s army. On the surface Stratego looks and plays somewhat familiar to other strategic board games such as chess, but some mechanics makes Stratego stand out.

Stratego has existed for a long time, the version that is played today can be tracked to have existed before the first world war, and the rules of that game can be traced […]

Board game analysis Stratego.

So here we go! Second board game analysis. Stratego.
For our second board game we chose Stratego, a strategy game with strong focus on memory, tactics and deception. After some research it seems that it was the so called official modern version , it uses the original rules with two players and the ranks of the pieces are counted upwards (1 is the least powerful piece and 10 is the most as opposed to the American version where 1 is most […]

Super Dungeon explorer!

For this week we chose to play Super Dungeon Explorer.

The best and the worst sides of the game.
The words part of the game was the loot system they had. They had a counter that went up every time a character did damage. On the counter there where loot tiles placed around every 4th tile. So the character that did the damage that would make the counter come to a loot tile have to draw a loot card […]

Board Game Analysis – Portobello Market

Time for another board game analysis, this time of the game Portobello Market.
This is a game where players compete by strategically placing Market Stalls on the game board, a representation of London (sort of), to score points.
The basics is that you spend an Action Token each turn and place either Market Stalls or randomized Market Visitors for the number of actions gained.
The Action Tokens each have a numeral representing the number of actions that the player will […]
