The colour of life
This week has been a not so productive week for me, nevertheless a very important week. Up to now we haven’t had any style guide or anything at all to look at while making art in order to make different components to work together and look good. But when Ida made a mood board in the end of last week we finally started to get a common visual goal on what we wanted to achieve.
So this week we have had more […]

EXTRA POST!
I’ve changed the theme on my blog and there is some problem with pictures… If you see a low resolution picture with loads of pixels… please click on it and look at it in its actual size, it will look much better!

A place to hide
This week, with the Alpha deadline coming up, much attention and work have been given to create objects to hide behind.
In our game we have guards and cameras that will detect you if you cross their line of sight (will be shown by a coloured cone, moving back and forth from the enemy). In order to escape you must either stealth past them or kill them. A big part of our stealth gameplay is to hide behind corners and […]

Problem with perspective
What: This week I’ve been continuing working on the tiles for the walls and floors in our game. I have also been working on other elements in the game such as posters and some furniture.
Since our game will be a stealth game we have decided to have a top-down perspective. But in order to get more feeling to the setting we decided on this sort of fake-isometric perspective for the walls, this will allow us to put posters and stuff […]

Tiles
today I’ve been working a lot on tiles for the walls in out game. I am now on the third tile-sheet since I started. First i did them in 32×32 pixel tiles, where the wall was on about half of the tile and the other half was to be floor. Then we decided that the tiles would be bigger, so I redid them in 64×64 pixels but still with the same layout. Then we realized it was not optimal […]

Coloring Of Line Art
Today in class we had a guest lecturer on the subject of coloring Line Art. Sadly, I found that my cleanup was not good enough (detailed enough) to make any kind of interesting coloring. There for I downloaded a picture from google and did that instead.
